Warning Warning This is to anyone whom in the future have business dealings with or is already having business dealings with Mike Movinski of Hydo Property Services. I can only let you know of my dealings
with this company. I am a contractor who on good faith did work for Mike Movinski and got ripped off. This I feel is why he lives on Mayburn st because he burned me. Please come forward so we can put this guy out of business with a class action lawsuit.
I'm too too late for this blog. Mike Movinski of hydro property reo services got me also. what happened to my company is this. We went in to a vacant house and installed all new ceiling fans in every room. What we also had done was shampoo the carpets cleaned up the place and did some other small repairs. I thought he was on the up and up because he's a professional speed boat racer, he's on tv every now and then. We'll my company paid for everything up front because he can't pay for 30 to 60 day. We did a good job and I sent pictures and I never received a dime. I can't even take him to court because the amount he owes isn't enough to cover about $6000.00 up front for attorneys fees and court costs. Every time I call he never answers his phones and he keeps his voice mail full to prevent i suspect irate contractors.

You need to put a lien on the properties as they are owned by FM as long as you lien them before they sell. ReplyDeleteMy husband worked for him, he bailed on us owing @ 1500.00, well, he antied up 500.00 thinking we would side with him during his divorce, we have never seen the rest of the money, also be aware, he fixes these homes and then goes back & steals items from the homes & resells or puts them in different homes so he can get paid for "completed" jobs. He is a major loser & con-artist.

Movinski is known for not paying on any jobs. he says he dosn't get paid but i suspect he puts all the money into his "professional" racing boats. my dealings were the same. he would also complain that the jobs were done "wrong" in order not to have to pay. my company does good work. i will be notifying fox 2 and sending them a copy of this site. good luck to all of you.

ReplyDeleteHe got us too. We are in MD and since everything is such a rush we did the job. Now its time to be paid and I find this page showing me I never will be paid. Sucks. We lost about $1500. We really needed the work too so it really hurt us. Karma will ultimately come and get this guy, if not in this life than in the next!!
ReplyDeleteMike is actually a very good contractor who doesnt put up with sub standard work from subs. Fannie Mae will not allow any contractor to do sloppy work or not pay there sub contractors.Hydro REO Services is still doing fannie work and my company is still doing work for Mike. After 6 years of working for Mike i have never had a problem getting paid within 30 days. Sub-contracting isnt easy under any circumstance and i suspect the posts above are from underfunded companies who cant wait the standard 30 days it takes to be paid.
ReplyDeleteMy drywall company has done work for Mike for over 4 years. His jobs are scheduled properly and payments are received between 21 and 30 days. Mike made it clear to me in the beginning that his billing cycle is 30 days and has always lived up to his comittments. I am shocked to see contractors who claim they are not being paid. Possibly friends of the ex wife trying to cause trouble.Like the other person said he wouldnt currently be doing work for Fannie Mae if any of that were true!
ReplyDeleteI have been in the property preservation business for 5 years and I've been very fortunate to have had a lot of success and many great clients. We have always been paid for every job UNTIL I did a large trash out for Mike in June. Mike contacted me acting like he was with Fannie Mae and had a rush job he really need help with. From talking to him I felt relatively assured we would receive payment as he assured me we would. After sending in my bid for a rekey, lawn cut, and cubic yard price bid he approved this and sent the work order. I rushed out to do the trash out, lawn care, took great pics, and did a complete job anyone would be proud of. We invoiced him and sent all pics and docs the day after completion. After 45 days we found out by doing a little research he was paid from the asset management company that contracted him to complete the job which has been confirmed by the asset manager and Mike stated he recieved the check as well. He stated he would send me my check for amount agreed and even said he sent it. When it never arrived I asked for a tracking number and he stopped communication with me. That was 60 days ago and he wont return my calls, emails, nothing. He is a bad business man. A Scam who is not doing work for Fannie Mae directly. Maybe its sub contracted to him but who cant get fannie mae work from an asset manager. He mislead me from the start stating he was working for fannie mae then it changed to he had a contract to consult this asset management company to help them get caught up on reassigned jobs. He even said he doesnt make money on these jobs because they pay him a salary. Turned out to be ALL LIES and BS. Mike you are a SCAM. YOU are preying on hard working Americans in a recession. The money is one thing but I am more upset that he send me out to do hard labor work then collects a check for work I did. This seems to be an ongoing trend based on research I have done. I have spoken with other vendors that have gone through the same shit. This many people dont just make this shit up. DONT WORK WITH THIS MIKE MOVINSKI or Hydro Property Services. Unless you like working for free. Feel free to call or write him and ask for references.

I am approaching this through legal channels and have not gotten very far. I am at 30 days now on my outstanding invoice and have given him a professional notice. If I have not been paid by 3/15/17, I will be pursuing "unconventional" collection methods and would like to get as much information as possible from others that have been victimized by him. ReplyDeleteThe guy is a crook. He doesn't pay his subs and they in turn, file liens on your property in order to get him to pay them. If he's done work for you , you may want to check to see if he or any of his subs have liens filed against your property.

One phone goes to a Wal-mart pre-recorded sales pitch and the other has no VM set up. Common sense would tell you that any reputable contractor would have working phone lines and an operational VM.

This low life has been pulling this crap since the day he was born, I should know my wife and I took him in after his mother & stepFather bounced him to the curb when he was in the 8th grade. As stated by some others he prays on women with money and a place to live when they start to catch on he moves and starts the same thing somewhere else. He has stolen money from our house, taken race boats with a promise to pay never did and we can not find where he is hiding them. Unfortunily I am the guy that got him started in the rehab business many years ago working for safeguard properties out of Ohio he repaid me by stealing and then while still be paid by me went off and formed Hydro Property Services and taking several of my crew with him. AS far as he being a champion racer he never really won anything he took my sponsor away by telling them that I died. This guy needs to be taught some real down home justice after all the people he has hurt I,m amazed he is still alive. Some day what goes around comes around.
